Bradley Barcola Requests PSG Exit, Liverpool and Arsenal on Alert

Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola has reportedly indicated his wish to leave the club this summer, providing a significant boost to the hopes of Liverpool. Barcola has been instrumental in PSG's back-to-back Champions League titles, yet his long-term future at the club appears uncertain as the summer transfer window approaches.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for Barcola as the two Premier League rivals prepare for the upcoming season.

The France international made 49 appearances for PSG last season, netting 13 goals across all competitions, including two in the Champions League.

According to a report in talkSPORT, Barcola has formally requested a transfer away from PSG this summer, placing Liverpool and Arsenal on high alert.

PSG are thought to value Barcola at approximately £60 million, with reports earlier this week suggesting the Ligue 1 giants would be willing to sanction the 23-year-old's departure from the Parc des Princes.

The versatile forward remains under contract at PSG until the summer of 2028, meaning both player and club face a crucial decision over his future in the coming months.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal are named in the report as interested parties, though it remains to be seen whether either side currently holds the upper hand in the race for his signature.

PSG manager Luis Enrique made his stance clear last year, stating his preference for Barcola to remain at the club. He said: 'Bradley Barcola's future? I have no doubt he'll remain our player. We like the fact that our players are interesting to other clubs. But he's one of those young players we've been banking on. I expect him to play here for many more years.'

Barcola is far from the only wide forward to have been connected with Liverpool ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, with RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande also regularly touted as a potential acquisition for the Reds.

Liverpool will equally need to assemble a squad around new manager Andoni Iraola, who took charge at Anfield earlier this month following Arne Slot's departure.

Arsenal are meanwhile reportedly looking at additional forward options this summer, with Bournemouth's Eli Junior Kroupi and Aston Villa playmaker Morgan Rogers both reportedly on their list of targets.
