Rashford Removes Barcelona from Bio After Transfer Blow

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has reacted following reports over his future during the summer transfer window. The 28-year-old spent the season on loan at Barcelona, but the La Liga champions have reportedly decided against triggering their £26 million buy option after agreeing to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.

Rashford's Response

Rashford has removed any mention of Barcelona from his Instagram bio following the news. He registered 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 games for Hansi Flick's side last term. Spanish outlet Marca reports that Barcelona's choice to target Gordon, who is three-and-a-half years younger and impressed with his defensive work, was proof that their interest in Rashford had declined.

Rashford is set to return to United after the World Cup unless a transfer with another interested club can be agreed.

Contract Talks for Target

Leeds United have confirmed they are in talks over Karl Darlow's future. The 35-year-old goalkeeper is nearing the end of his contract and has attracted interest from Old Trafford. Darlow has spent three years with the Yorkshire club and made 22 appearances last season. United view him as back-up to Senne Lammens, with Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana being made available for moves away.

United's Busy Summer

Michael Carrick's side need new recruits as they prepare to return to the Champions League. The club confirmed the departures of Casemiro, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia on Wednesday. United have already struck a deal for midfielder Ederson to address the void left by Casemiro.
