Ghetto Golf Newcastle Shuts Down After Seven Unforgettable Years
Ghetto Golf Newcastle Closes After Seven Years

Ghetto Golf, the wildly popular adults-only crazy golf venue in Newcastle, has suddenly closed its doors after seven years. The venue, known for its adventurous decor and imaginative obstacles, was a game-changer when it opened in Hoults Yard in 2019.

A Unique Venue

The attraction quickly gained attention for its social media posts showcasing holes themed around everything from Amsterdam's red light district to The Jeremy Kyle Show. It also became famous for its potent cocktails, making it a popular spot for groups even without playing golf.

After a rebrand to Golf Fang and a return to its original identity, Ghetto Golf is now no more. The closure was announced on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon, prompting a huge reaction from fans.

Difficult Decision

The post stated: 'After 7 unforgettable years, the time has come to say goodbye. Ghetto Golf Newcastle has now officially closed its doors. This wasn't an easy decision, but with the increasing challenges facing the hospitality and leisure industry, we have sadly reached the point where continuing to operate is not sustainable.'

The team thanked customers and staff for their passion and creativity, adding: 'You helped to create something very special.'

Reaction and Refunds

Fans expressed sadness, with one commenting: 'That's a shame, had some great nights out here.' Another wrote: 'I have had the best nights at Ghetto Golf, so sad to hear this news.'

Bookings are no longer accepted, and existing bookings will receive a full refund within 21 days. Other Golf Fang venues in the UK remain open.
