Primark has introduced a £25 suitcase that meets the updated carry-on dimensions for Ryanair and WizzAir flights, allowing passengers to avoid extra fees. The Eight-Wheel Hard Shell Underseat Suitcase measures 40x30x20cm, matching Ryanair's new free personal bag size introduced in September 2025.
The suitcase, available in black, blue, deep pink and creamy gold, features eight spinner wheels, a telescopic handle, and zip-up compartments. Primark says it is 'designed to fit under most airline seats' and is ideal for short trips.
Travel expert Chelsea Dickenson demonstrated on social media that the bag can hold three days' worth of clothes, travel straighteners, tech accessories, pyjamas, underwear, trainers, a power bank, a toiletry bag, and a travel adapter. She noted that passengers cannot wear an additional bag unless they have paid for it.
Dickenson added that summer items like swimwear, sandals and light dresses would fit even more easily. However, travellers are advised to check that the suitcase still fits the airline's dimensions once packed, as overloading may result in fees.
