Russell Hobbs Air Fryer with £100 Off Is a Must-Have

Russell Hobbs family-sized air fryer that's 'really easy to clean' sees £100 price cut. 'Good size, good speed, very efficient. I don't miss my Ninja.'

Amazon shoppers can find a pre-Prime Day deal on a large air fryer. These days, air fryers are seen as somewhat of a kitchen staple. They cook food much more quickly than an oven, making them the perfect appliance for most households, whether it's a family, couple, house share, or single person.

In the run-up to the Prime Day sales event (June 23-26), Amazon has a string of early offers, including £96.50 off a Russell Hobbs XXL Family Air Fryer. Originally priced at £159.99, it is reduced to £63.49. However, shoppers will need to act fast if they want one, as this is a pre-Prime Day deal ending on June 22.

The Russell Hobbs XXL Family Air Fryer has 10 pre-set programmes for different foods, such as French fries, eggs, chicken or vegetables. Some of the functions include air fry, bake, grill, dehydrate, frozen and reheat. What's more, it has a large 8-litre capacity and can reach temperatures up to 220°C.

The Russell Hobbs XXL Family Air Fryer is a popular buy on Amazon, with some consumers comparing its functions and quality to that of a Ninja air fryer. A similar-sized Ninja DualZone 7.6L can currently be snapped up for £149.99 on the Shark Ninja site (originally £199.99). This option has six customisable cooking presets, including Max Crisp, Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Reheat and Dehydrate. It also has two cooking drawers which can be synced up.

There are other options costing less than £50, including this Daewoo Air Fryer on offer at Currys for £29.99. However, this has a much smaller capacity of two litres. Prospective buyers of the Russell Hobbs XXL Family Air Fryer can find more than 1,000 reviews and ratings of it on Amazon.

As one user penned: 'I bought this for our caravan, so I wanted something that offered great value and wasn't too big. We have a Ninja dual at home, and I was interested to see how this one compared. I have been really pleased with it. It can fit a whole chicken easily, which it cooks to perfection and there is plenty of room to cook a family meal for four. It's not too noisy, it's really easy to clean and it cooks everything quickly.'

Another user simply remarked: 'Good size, good speed, very efficient. I don't miss my Ninja.' Not all reviews were glowing, as one shopper pointed out downsides: 'Good air fryer if you use just the one level. Unfortunately, when you add the shelf and have food on both levels, the lower level does not cook very well. Easy to use and easy to clean.'

Someone else had more luck, as one buyer left a detailed review: 'Inherited a dinosaur air fryer from a sister's neighbour a couple of years back - yes, it was ok, but clearly one of the first ever invented. So when I saw this with almost £100 off and a max temp of 220°C, I jumped at it. I will never regret it! So much better use of the cooking space, you could easily fit a medium-sized (possibly a 2kg?) chicken in. There are pre-sets if you wish to use them for an extensive variety of foods, but also it's just as easy to select the temp and time and hit start! Also, there is an alternative cooking level inside, for items you might need to have closer to the air source. Yes, it's not the quietest, but just close the kitchen door a bit if it bothers you! The benefits of this far outweigh this single con.'

Someone else was just as pleased, saying: 'My family has been using this Russell Hobbs XXL Family Rapid Digital Air Fryer daily for the past few months and it's been great. The 8L capacity is perfect for family meals, and it cooks food consistently well. It's easy to use, heats up quickly, and gives consistent results. We use it so often now that it's become an essential kitchen appliance. Very happy with it and would definitely recommend it for families.'
