A Ryanair flight from Manchester Airport was forced to divert due to the behavior of 'disruptive' passengers, the airline has confirmed.
Incident Details
The aircraft departed Manchester on Wednesday, June 10, bound for the popular Spanish holiday island of Tenerife. However, the captain made the decision to divert to Faro, in Portugal's Algarve region, after two passengers caused a disturbance onboard.
Portuguese police were called to meet the aircraft upon arrival in Faro and removed the disruptive passengers, allowing the flight to continue to its original destination.
Social Media Video
A video posted on social media captured the incident, showing two individuals standing in the aisle of the Ryanair plane. One man was heard shouting, 'I'm here for dressing up, I'm dressing down,' as he danced and marched down the aisle. He faced abuse from fellow passengers who urged him to sit down. The man appeared to be tripped by another passenger as he returned, sparking laughter. He briefly sat down before jumping up again as the video ended.
The passenger who posted the video commented: 'Great flight to Tenerife yesterday - had to redirect to Faro to drop off these 2 k*******s.'
