A devastating plane crash in Butler, Missouri, has resulted in the deaths of 11 skydivers and a pilot, bringing the total fatalities to 12. The incident occurred on Sunday morning, according to reports from FOX4.
Details of the Crash
According to a spokesperson from Bates County Emergency Management, the private aircraft departed from Butler Memorial Airport shortly before 11:30 a.m. For reasons still unknown, the plane turned around and subsequently crashed in the vicinity of Business 49 Highway.
The spokesperson confirmed that among the 12 victims, 11 were skydivers, and the remaining individual was the pilot. All individuals on board perished in the crash.
