Motorists are facing rush-hour chaos on the M25 after a vehicle fire forced the closure of the anticlockwise carriageway between Junction 25 for Enfield and Junction 24 for Potters Bar. Drivers have been warned to expect delays of up to 30 minutes, with four miles of congestion building up on the approach.

A National Highways spokesperson confirmed: “On the M25 anticlockwise between J25 (Enfield) and J24 (Potters Bar), traffic has been held due to a vehicle fire. The fire service are on scene. There are delays of 30 minutes and 4 miles of congestion on the approach.”
