Katie Hopkins was allegedly kicked out of a London pub after becoming embroiled in a furious row with fellow punters during England's 4-2 victory over Croatia on Wednesday night. The commentator and personality was watching the match at the Dundee Arms in Bethnal Green when things became heated.
Video Shows Heated Exchange
Video footage obtained by Sell Us Your Story appears to show one bloke telling Hopkins to get out of the pub, to which the former Apprentice contestant responds, "f*** off". Hopkins then appears to make a lunge at the gentleman before throwing up her middle fingers to the braying crowd, some of whom had appeared to have been chanting, "Katie, Katie you're a c***".
Fans can then be heard chanting "out, out, out" at Hopkins as she continues to stare them down before she eventually makes an exit from the establishment. As the political pundit begins to walk out of the pub, a series of jeers and whistles can be heard in her direction.
Alleged Shove and Phone Swipe
Hopkins was reportedly involved in a heated altercation with pub-goers and allegedly shoved a man believed to be the landlord. As the 51-year-old steps out of the pub, she appears to take a swipe at the phone filming the incident, knocking it out of the hand of the videographer.
Hopkins' Controversial History
Hopkins, who is recognised for her divisive opinions, has established herself as a right-wing political commentator and has repeatedly faced allegations of racism, islamophobia, fat-shaming and classism. Some of her most contentious incidents include being sacked from LBC after making remarks about the Manchester Arena bombing in 2017 and getting a permanent ban from X, formerly Twitter, in 2020 for breaching their 'hateful conduct policy'.
This incident is not the first time Hopkins has seemingly faced issues with the British public. In 2019, the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant claimed to be the victim of a hate crime after a pro-Brexit sign was removed from her house. Speaking to her 650K followers, Katie said at the time: "Someone stole my 8th Leave sign. It is a hate crime." She added: "I am frightened to live in this country. I'd leave, but everywhere else is more s***." Hopkins did not leave the country as a result of the alleged theft.
