Nearly half of the original 16 contestants left in the first six episodes. Mary Wedell departed early after no team would take her. Sean Jacobs left due to burns. Dave Cecchini sacrificed himself so his team could have fire. Marshall Strain left after 26 days due to homesickness. Halle Cooley quit during a challenge by firing a flare gun.
Comparison to Previous Season
The series follows the 2023 Outlast, set in the Alaskan wilderness, which was won by Team Charlie (Seth Lueker, Paul Preece, and Nick Radner). Viewers must wait until June 17 to discover the winner of the Panamanian jungle edition.
