Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes, 39, has unveiled a new tattoo on her left hand reading 'Trap Star', prompting mixed reactions from fans. The actress, who recently documented a 28-pound weight loss, got the ink at Atomic Tattoo & Body Piercing in Los Angeles.
Bynes did not explain the meaning behind the 'Trap Star' tattoo, but she has previously shared the significance of other tattoos. Her Roman numeral X marks a decade-long friendship with best friend Dylan, while a snake tattoo symbolises transformation and shedding the past.
The actress has been open about her weight loss journey, revealing she lost 28 pounds on Ozempic, a GLP-1 medication. In December 2024, she posted on Instagram: 'I was 180 lbs, but now I've lost 28 lbs on Ozempic. I'm down to 152 lbs.' She later switched from the pill to the injection form, which she said helped her lose weight more effectively.
Bynes rose to fame as a child star on Nickelodeon and later appeared in films such as 'Hairspray' and 'Easy A'. She retired from acting in 2010 and faced mental health and addiction struggles, leading to a conservatorship in 2013. The conservatorship ended in 2022 with her parents' support.
Since then, Bynes has launched a podcast, worked on fashion projects, and teased new music for December 2025. She continues to share updates with fans on social media, focusing on her health and personal growth.
