Amanda Holden's Embarrassing Dog Walk Wardrobe Incident
Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has recounted a highly awkward wardrobe malfunction that occurred during a recent dog walk, leaving her Heart Radio co-hosts in fits of laughter during a live broadcast. The 55-year-old television personality, who recently expanded her family with a new rescue dog named Dolly, now cares for three canine companions.
The Chaotic Dog Walk Setup
Holden explained to her co-stars Jason King and Ashley Roberts that managing three dogs alone presented significant challenges. Without a bag to carry essentials, she improvised by placing her phone in her pocket and attaching both her dog poo bag container and car keys to the zipper of her top using a clip. This arrangement, she believed, would keep her hands free for playing with the dogs and handling necessary tasks.
"I thought, 'Right, that's there so I've got hands free to play with the dogs and pick up poo and do anything else I need to do'," Holden recounted during the radio show.
The Unexpected Zipper Incident
While enjoying what she described as a "lovely" time frolicking with her dogs and playing fetch, Holden suddenly noticed an unusual sensation. "I suddenly realised it felt a bit draughty," she revealed. Looking down, she discovered that the combined weight of the poo bag and car keys had completely unzipped her top, leaving her exposed.
"And for once I was wearing underwear, it was like particularly lazy," Holden added, prompting co-host Ashley Roberts to comment on Holden's rare use of bras. The Britain's Got Talent judge expressed relief at wearing a bra during the incident, though she humorously compared her appearance to that of Erica Roe, the woman who famously went topless during a 1982 England vs Australia rugby match.
The Public Encounter
Holden described frantically trying to zip herself back up before being spotted by an elderly couple walking their poodle. "You know when you're going, 'Oh my god', they probably think I'm flashing them," she laughed, imagining what the couple might have thought.

The wardrobe malfunction became a recurring topic during the Heart Radio broadcast. Later in the show, while chatting with guest Jessie Ware about singer Alan Carr, Holden brought up the incident again. When Ware joked about Carr "motorboating her flat chest," Holden responded with humor about her chest not being flat, before circling back to her earlier story.
"Well, just in relation to that we were just talking all morning because yesterday I decided to clip my dog poo bag container to a zip," Holden explained. "And when I was playing ball with the dog, the weight of it pulled the zip down and I exposed everything."
