Loose Women presenter Andrea McLean has opened up about her squeaky-clean image, revealing she has only ever slept with two men – and married both of them. The 40-year-old, nicknamed Snow White by colleagues, said her wholesome reputation is well-deserved.
“I haven’t had as much experience as a lot of other women,” McLean told a magazine. “I’ve only ever slept with two men in my life – and I married both of them!” She was with childhood sweetheart Nick Green for 17 years before their split, and later married builder Steve Toms in the summer.
McLean, who has two children – eight-year-old Finlay from her first marriage and three-year-old Amy with Steve – also discussed her contrasting pregnancy experiences. Her first required gruelling IVF treatment, but with Amy, she said, “all I did was get drunk!” She attributed her second pregnancy to being happy, relaxed and fit from training for Dancing On Ice.
Despite her partner’s desire for another child, McLean said two is enough. “I don’t think I could stand to put on all that weight again,” she explained, adding that she hates seeing women in skinny jeans shortly after giving birth. “I was still in my maternity clothes for six months after having my kids.”
