Carol Vorderman has lifted the lid on the strict rules governing her 'special friends' lifestyle, revealing that her children fully approve of the arrangement. The TV presenter, who first discussed her unconventional approach to romance on This Morning last year, returned to the ITV1 show to provide further details.
Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Vorderman explained that the arrangement evolved naturally and that her life is already full, with male and female relationships serving as 'the icing on the cake'. She emphasised that a critical rule is that everyone involved must be single, and that all relationships are rooted in friendship rather than one-night stands.
Vorderman stated that she does not inquire about her special friends' other relationships, assuming they have others as well. She noted that her grown-up children, Katie and Cameron, are perfectly fine with the arrangement and are even friendly with her special friends themselves.
The former Countdown star previously described her system as having been in place for 10 years, with some friendships lasting 11 years and others seven. She clarified that she is not looking to settle down or get married again, and is having 'the best time' with her current lifestyle.
