Eamonn Holmes Health Update After Stroke

Eamonn Holmes has offered an update on his health as he remains in hospital after suffering a stroke in April. The GB News presenter fell ill in early April, with his employers confirming the news days later.

Family Support

His son, Declan Holmes, described the medical issue as a "real shock" and thanked well-wishers, saying: "It means a lot to us as a family." He added: "What happened came as a real shock, but dad is doing okay given the circumstances and we're taking it one step at a time. For now, we're focused on him and keeping things steady around him. We'd really value a bit of privacy as we navigate it, but thank you again for the support."

Granddaughters' Message

After the news went public, Eamonn shared a picture of his two granddaughters holding a sign reading "Get well soom," noting the spelling error. He wrote: "As my beautiful Granddaughters put it so well - I will do my best to get well SOON. Thank you for all of your many many good wishes, they give me strength."

Eamonn was seen smiling in hospital with his partner Katie Alexander in his first public picture since the stroke. The former This Morning star told The Sun: "I can't wait to be out of this gown and back in a suit and tie. Watch this space. I'll be back after this break." GB News chief executive Angelos Frangopoulos previously stated: "Eamonn is a loved member of the GB News family, and we're with him every step of the way as he recovers."
