Molly-Mae Hague has announced the name of her newborn daughter with Tommy Fury, choosing the unique name Bambi. The former Love Island star, 23, gave birth on January 23 but waited a week to share the news. She revealed the name on Instagram with a photo of the baby in a cot beside a neon sign reading 'Bambi' and a Disney Bambi plush toy.
In the caption, she simply wrote 'Bambi' followed by a white heart emoji. The name is of Italian origin, derived from 'bambino' meaning child. Fans reacted positively, with comments calling it 'beautiful' and 'gorgeous', despite Molly-Mae previously predicting people would 'hate it'.
Molly-Mae had admitted she had the name saved since childhood and that Tommy loved it too. She described it as 'very different and rare' and said she didn't know anyone else with the name. Some fans had correctly guessed Bambi before the announcement, while others speculated it might be Halo.
Following the birth, Molly-Mae shared a tribute on Instagram, saying becoming a mother was 'the best thing to ever happen' to her and that her love grows 'with each passing moment'.
