Former Love Island Australia star Grant Crapp, 25, has announced that he and his girlfriend Lucy Cartwright are expecting a baby girl, due in April next year. The electrician shared the news on Instagram on Sunday, posting a photo of the couple on a beach with Lucy's baby bump visible.
In the caption, Crapp wrote: 'BABY CRAPP DUE APRIL. So excited to be a dad! She's going to be soo cute!! I can't wait to meet her. #whatayear'. The couple have been notoriously private since the start of their relationship, with Lucy rarely posting to social media.
They went Instagram official in October 2018, three months after Crapp split with his Love Island co-star Tayla Damir, 24. Crapp and Cartwright dated prior to his appearance on Love Island, and reunited after his split from Damir. However, Damir dumped Crapp after discovering he had a 'secret girlfriend' living in Canberra, leading to criticism upon his return to Australia.
In August 2018, Crapp told NW magazine that starring on Love Island made him realise how much he appreciated Cartwright. He said: 'Obviously I was going into the villa with an open heart and looking for love. But then, I've come out, me and Tayla are finished and I'm back with Lucy.'
The couple bought their first home together, a $380,000 property in Malua Bay, New South Wales, in February 2019, and purchased a second $770,000 home in the same area three months later.
