Former TOWIE star Jess Wright has revealed that her four-year-old son Presley was rushed to hospital after a terrifying accident involving a bouncy castle. The incident left the toddler struggling to breathe and resulted in an air ambulance being called.
Freak Accident at Birthday Party
Jess, 40, took to Instagram to share the ordeal, describing it as the 'scariest day of her life'. She explained that Presley was catapulted off the top of a bouncy castle at a birthday party, falling approximately three metres onto a hard wooden floor. The fall left him struggling to breathe and briefly unconscious.
'My baby was struggling to breathe and then passed out in our arms until coming to in what felt like ages later but probably about five seconds,' she wrote. 'To say he was in a state is an understatement as well as mum and dad.'
Hospital Treatment and Recovery
Presley was taken to a trauma unit in London with his head in a brace. Doctors initially feared he might have broken ribs or a spinal injury, but scans revealed only bruises. He was discharged later that day and is now recovering at home.
Jess shared a photo of Presley on a stretcher, calling the experience 'traumatising' for the family. She added that the accident has made her more cautious about bouncy castles on hard surfaces.
Heart Condition Adds to Concerns
Presley was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve at age two, a heart condition that has made his parents especially vigilant about his safety. Jess admitted that the accident heightened their anxiety, but she is grateful for the swift medical response.
'Like most I’m sure, Will and I are so very panicky around Presley’s safety especially because of his heart condition, so the fact this happened to him, we were beside ourselves,' she said. 'It was a freak accident that couldn’t have been avoided but I will say I’ll be more careful in future if the bouncy castle is on a wooden floor opposed to mats or I guess maybe grass.'
