Katie Price has disclosed that she remained in the Celebrity Big Brother house even after her body began rejecting a breast implant, risking sepsis. The revelation came during an appearance on Michelle Visage's Rule Breakers podcast.
Price explained that the implant was 'trying to break out of her skin' and becoming necrotic. Despite producers advising her to leave, she chose to stay, saying: 'If you get this far, you want to stay to the end.' She dismissed a comment from fellow housemate Katie Hopkins that she didn't need the money, insisting it wasn't about finances.
The model also opened up about her ongoing cosmetic surgery, stating she does it for herself now that she is older. However, she cautioned young people against excessive filler use, warning: 'What are they going to look like when they are in their forties?'
Price, who has been declared bankrupt with over £3 million in debt, discussed her weekly therapy sessions, which have helped her manage PTSD from a carjacking and reduce reactions to paparazzi. She criticised drones flying over her home, calling the practice 'disgusting'.
Reflecting on her career, Price recalled being advised to change her name from Katie Price to 'Jordan' to avoid being typecast as a Page 3 girl. She also admitted to eating two jacket potatoes with cheese before shoots, surprising photographers with her appetite.
