Kelsey Parker has shared how she believes her late husband, Tom, 'connects' with her and their children, four years on from his tragic death. The Wanted singer, from Bolton, died from an inoperable brain tumour in 2022 at the age of 33, leaving behind a heartbroken Kelsey and their two children, daughter Aurelia and son Bodhi, who are now four and three.
Kelsey, 36, has now opened up about coping with the loss, which also comes after the devastating death of her son, Phoenix, with partner Will Lindsay, who arrived stillborn at 39 weeks last year.
Signs From Tom
Speaking on the No Parental Guidance podcast, Kelsey said: 'Tom connects to us through our clock in the kitchen. The clock just starts spinning. People will be like, ‘It’s just the batteries’. But you don’t understand.' She recalled a moment while reading Aurelia’s school report when the clock started spinning. 'It’s like he’s there saying, ‘I’m with you, I’m here’. I can just feel Tom with me, anyway. What really got me was we said that Will’s here looking after Tom’s kids and Tom’s there looking after Will’s child.'
Comfort From a Medium
Kelsey also detailed her visit to a medium, which brought her comfort following the loss of both Tom and Phoenix. 'A medium told me, ‘Tom’s there, he’s holding a baby and he’s waving',' she said. 'With his illness, he lost the movement in one of his arms so he’s showing me, ‘I’ve got the movement back, I’m all good. And I’ve got Phoenix, you’ve got nothing to worry about’.'
Rainbow Baby Joy
Kelsey revealed at the end of last month that she is pregnant with a 'rainbow baby', a year after Phoenix's tragic death. Kelsey and Will, with whom she found love two years after her husband, announced their son's death by sharing a poem to their baby, who will ‘forever be loved’.
Kelsey met aspiring musician Will on a night out in Kent and went Instagram official in September 2024. She said in January that she was hoping to have a 'better year' in 2026 and will continue trying to grow her family, before recently announcing her pregnancy joy.
She shared the news with a video of her, Will, and her two children being removed from a table to reveal a picture of her baby scan. Alongside the post on Instagram, Kelsey said: 'A year ago next month, we lost our beautiful baby boy, Phoenix. And somehow, through all the heartbreak, it feels like Tom and Phoenix have sent us another little gift from heaven, our little rainbow baby.'
