Kerry Katona reveals 'no rush' to marry boyfriend Paolo after one-year milestone
Kerry Katona on 'no rush' to marry boyfriend Paolo

Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona has spoken candidly about her relationship with boyfriend Paolo Margaglione, revealing the couple are in "no rush" to get married or have children despite approaching a significant one-year milestone.

A Love Forged on Reality TV

The singer and columnist, 44, met her current partner on the E4 dating show Celebs Go Dating, which aired earlier this year. Despite initial hesitations over their 11-year age gap, the pair quickly formed a strong connection that has continued to grow off-screen.

Writing in her column for new! magazine, Kerry expressed the depth of their bond. "Paolo and I have been together nearly a year now but it feels like seven years already!" she shared. "It’s like he’s been in my life forever, it’s crazy. And I’ve never had a connection like this with anybody."

Focus on Family and Future Goals

Instead of planning a wedding, the couple are concentrating on practical goals and blending their large family. Kerry is a mother of five children—Molly, Lilly-Sue, Heidi, Max, and Dylan Jorge—while Paolo is a father to two daughters.

"I’ve always wanted to own my own home, so we’re working towards that together," Kerry explained. "But there’s no rush for a ring, or a baby. I’m just enjoying everything for what it is. I want to continue on this journey with Paolo, have date nights and juggle our families."

Looking ahead to 2026, her personal goals include focusing on her health and continuing to successfully merge their two families. "I want to be as fit and as healthy as I can. And to continue with my ever-growing family – to keep blending that together as we have been," she added.

A Memorable First Christmas Together

The loved-up couple recently celebrated their first Christmas together, which involved all seven of their combined children. For Kerry, who is usually performing in pantomime over the festive season, this year was deliberately different.

"This year I just want to be home in my Christmas PJs watching festive films," she gushed in a pre-Christmas column. Her daughters Molly and Lilly returned home on December 21, meaning all five of her children were present, with Paolo's two daughters joining them on Christmas Day itself.

Reflecting on her current happiness, Kerry concluded: "I couldn’t ask for anything more than what I have. I’ve got this amazing partner, he has two beautiful children and I have five unbelievable kids myself. We’ve been creating some wonderful memories together and I’m so blessed and grateful."
