Lily Allen 'happy to be alive' after truck forces her off road

Singer Lily Allen has said she is 'happy to be alive' after a lorry forced her to drive her Porsche off the road. The 40-year-old British star shared details of the incident on Instagram on Monday, posting pictures of her black 911 Carrera S with paint scratched off the side and around the wheel.

Allen wrote: 'Could have done without an HGV running me off the road but other than that a relatively good start to 2026.' She added: 'Happy to be alive and to not be posting any photos taken in 2016,' a nod to the viral trend of sharing throwback pictures from that year.

The singer, who bought the car, worth around $150,000, at the end of 2025, also shared images of jewellery, a hotel room in Rome, snacks and artwork, showing she has kept busy since the start of the year.

Fans expressed concern in the comments, with one writing: 'Hope you're ok xxx not the best start to the year.' Another said: 'Oh my gosh, that is so scary. Grateful that you are okay.'

The incident comes as Allen prepares for a theatre tour performing her comeback album West End Girl in full from March, followed by her biggest arena tour starting in June. Tickets went on sale in November. Allen described the album, released in October, as 'a mixture of fact and fiction which I hope serves as a reminder of how stoic yet also how frail we humans can be.'
