MAFS Stars Stella and Filip Drop Major Relationship Spoiler
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, Married At First Sight participants Stella Mickunaite and Filip Gregov have delivered a significant spoiler regarding their current relationship status. The couple strongly indicated that they remain together, effectively dispelling any uncertainties that arose from the intense on-screen questioning by Stella's friends during the show.
Emotional Reflections on Their Wedding Day
When asked about revisiting their wedding footage, Stella expressed deep emotion. 'I couldn't stop crying watching it back,' she confessed. 'It was such an amazing day. All the right people were there, the energy was right, the venue was incredible. I just felt super blessed.' Filip mirrored her feelings, describing the occasion as one of the most profound moments in his life.
Cultural Connection and Shared Values
For Stella, who relocated from Lithuania to Australia, the immediate bond with Filip transcended mere physical attraction. She highlighted a stark contrast with her previous dating experiences. 'I've dated Aussie men in the past and I noticed a massive difference in values,' Stella explained. 'I often felt misunderstood and judged for wanting to build more in life. Connecting with a man whose family background is the same as mine was a beautiful surprise. I felt seen, I felt heard. It laid a really strong base for everything that followed.'
Stella also opened up about her challenging upbringing, noting that it had previously led her towards unsuitable partners. 'I grew up in broken homes and dangerous environments,' she said. 'That exposed me to behaviours you don't want to repeat. Men who don't treat you well and think you'll just stay no matter what.'
Filip admitted to facing similar issues in past relationships. 'There was always a disconnect with my previous partners,' he stated. 'They weren't culturally aligned with what I considered normal in relationships. Family was always friction. When I saw how in tune Stella was with her family and emotions, I thought, "Here we go. We're aligned."'
Overcoming Doubts and Confrontations
However, their idyllic wedding faced immediate challenges when Stella's friends questioned Filip's motivations, suggesting he might have joined the experiment to promote his online coaching and YouTube channels. Filip described feeling blindsided by the confrontation. 'What I thought was just a passing comment got blown into something massive,' he recalled. 'Joe definitely let everyone know his concerns. They didn't know me from a bar of soap. There was a moment where I felt pressed, absolutely. I was sweating a little. But I looked them in the eye and said, "I'm here for Stella."'
He firmly denied any pursuit of fame influencing his decision to participate. 'Absolutely not,' Filip asserted. 'I'd been professionally single for years. I thought if I wanted a different outcome, I had to try something different.'
Stella acknowledged that her friends' suspicions were confronting and caused her to emotionally withdraw initially. 'I was taken aback,' she admitted. 'I went from the clouds back to the earth very quickly. I had to put my blinkers on because at the end of the day, I didn't know this man. My mind would still go back to that fear even when things were going right.' She credited Filip's patience with helping her break old patterns in real time. 'He sat down and had the same conversations with me over and over again,' she noted.
Undeniable Chemistry and Future Affection
Despite the rocky beginning, the couple confirmed that their physical chemistry was unmistakable, with more public displays of affection expected in upcoming episodes. 'We're not allergic to affection,' Filip joked. 'The chemistry was there from the get-go.'
Stella revealed she initially attempted to slow things down following her friends' warnings. 'I literally said, "Two weeks, nothing is happening,"' she shared. 'But common sense prevailed. It wasn't forced. It just progressed naturally.'
Navigating Drama and Final Messages
Regarding the show's dinner parties, Stella and Filip stated they avoid drama and concentrate on each other. 'We don't insert ourselves,' Stella said. 'If people judge us, that's projection.' Filip added that Stella's reluctance to engage in group conflicts strengthened their bond. 'We saved ourselves so much heartache,' he remarked. 'I hate drama queens. That was always a turn-off for me.'
When asked what viewers should understand about them as a couple, Stella suggested first impressions might be deceptive. 'I can come across as serious or blunt, but underneath I'm highly empathetic and emotional,' she explained. Filip concluded with a light-hearted message. 'I apologise in advance for the PDA,' he laughed.
