Mollie King Reveals Secret Surgery After Health Scare

Mollie King has disclosed that she underwent a secret operation in July, following weeks of absence from her Radio 1 show. The Saturdays star, 38, who presents the early afternoon slot with Matt Edmondson, took to Instagram to address fans' concerns.

In a post shared on Thursday, King wrote: 'I had to take some time off in July for an operation but everything went well and I'm doing much better now.' She confirmed she will return to the airwaves in September, adding: 'I'll be back on air in September and can't wait to be back with you!'

The mother of two, who welcomed her second daughter Lilianna in January with fiancé Stuart Broad, did not specify the nature of the surgery. She also shared a series of summer photos, including one from the Radio 1 studio and a family snap with Broad and their two daughters.

Earlier this year, King admitted to being in 'survival mode' after the birth of her second child. In an interview with the Mirror in June, she described the challenges of balancing motherhood and her career, saying: 'Life's a lot less glamorous when you're a mum of two.'

King has hosted Radio 1's Monday to Thursday early afternoon show for the past year. She expressed her eagerness to return, joking that she even misses losing to Matt in their regular 'Matt vs Mollie' segment.
