Olivia Attwood's Mum Admits She Struggles to Watch Daughter's TV Shows
Olivia Attwood's Mum Struggles to Watch Her TV Shows

Olivia Attwood's mother has made a blunt admission about her daughter's television career, revealing that she struggles to watch some of her shows. The 35-year-old Love Island star and her mother Jennifer appeared on This Morning on June 8 to discuss their upcoming debut on the new series of Celebrity Gogglebox.

Honest Confession on This Morning

During the interview with hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, the duo reflected on Olivia's TV career, including shows like Getting Filthy Rich and The Price of Perfection. When asked if she watches her daughter's programmes, Jennifer hesitated before admitting she finds them a tough watch.

Olivia interjected, saying: "She finds Getting Filthy Rich a tough watch." Jennifer agreed, adding: "Yes, very tough! And I'm not good at watching surgeries, so the other one is not great for me either. But I tend to skip through a bit, maybe, and just watch snippets." Olivia revealed that her mother often watches her shows from behind her hands.

Celebrity Gogglebox Debut

Despite her reservations, Jennifer is a devoted fan of Gogglebox and had repeatedly urged her daughter to take part. Olivia commented: "Doing Celebrity Gogglebox with my mum was chaotic but in the best possible way. It's not often that we agree on things which I think the viewers may find entertaining. My family are huge fans of the show so it's a real honour to be a part of such an iconic British programme."

Alongside Olivia and Jennifer, the upcoming series features Harry and Matt (Nitro and Legend from Gladiators), content creators George Clark and Max Balegde, and TV stalwarts Julian Clary and Nigel Havers. Julian joked: "Doing Celebrity Gogglebox was an absolute treat, a perfectly civilised way to spend an evening. I do like to think my commentary brought a certain level of refinement to proceedings, and Nigel managed to stay awake, although there is an unsightly stain on my sofa."

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
