Pink Cancels Detroit Concert Due to Flu, Apologises to Fans

Pink has cancelled her Sunday night concert in Detroit as she continues to battle the flu, the singer announced on Twitter on Saturday. The 38-year-old star had already called off a Friday show in Montreal, citing illness for herself and her family.

In a series of tweets, Pink explained that she saw a doctor in Montreal and is not well enough to perform. 'I want to give you all the full show and not be hacking all the way through it and have to cut songs because of my voice,' she wrote. She apologised for the inconvenience, saying she understands the effort fans make to attend her shows.

The singer, currently touring in support of her album 'Beautiful Trauma', revealed that her husband Carey Hart and their two children, Willow and Jameson, are also sick with the virus. She had previously battled the flu during her performance of the national anthem at Super Bowl LII in February.
