Elvis Presley Confessed He Never Stopped Loving Priscilla Despite Affairs, Cousin Reveals

Newly uncovered private conversations between Elvis Presley and his cousin Billy Smith have shed light on the singer's true feelings for his ex-wife Priscilla. In a video on the YouTube channel Elvis Fans Matter, Smith recalled a discussion that took place in Lisa Marie's bedroom at Graceland two to three months before Elvis's death in 1977.

During the conversation, Elvis admitted he still loved Priscilla, saying: 'Yeah like a lot of the women I went with, I love them. I love Priscilla and always will in a lot of ways. We've got a daughter together, but as far as ever getting back together? That'll never happen.' The King cited infidelities on both sides as the reason for the irreparable breakdown of their marriage.

Elvis confessed to Smith: 'There were way too many bridges being burned behind me. I'll never go down that road again.' He also revealed his heartbreak upon discovering Priscilla's affair with her karate instructor Mike Stone, admitting he wanted him killed but later realised it was 'all my pride and ego.'

Smith noted that Elvis was never faithful to any one woman and that the couple had disagreements, but they got along fairly well. Elvis reportedly told his cousin: 'I should never ever have been married. I don't think I'll ever go down that road again.'

Elvis and Priscilla married in 1967 after meeting in Germany in 1959 when she was 14. They separated in 1972 and divorced in 1973, co-parenting their daughter Lisa Marie until Elvis's death from a heart attack on August 16, 1977.
