Emmerdale star Sammy Winward, 40, is reportedly devastated by a bitter feud with her 20-year-old daughter Mia Winward-Dunn, which erupted after Mia joined the adult content site OnlyFans. The mother and daughter, once described as 'best friends', have not spoken since summer 2024, four months after Mia started posting explicit content.
Mia claimed she was earning up to £100,000 a month from the site and felt 'empowered' by her financial independence. However, her parents were appalled. Mia's father, former Blackburn Rovers footballer David Dunn, 44, reportedly called her a 'w***e', while Sammy allegedly said 'some pretty mean things'. Mia accused her mother of being 'jealous' of her success.
Now pregnant with her first child, Mia has quit OnlyFans and lives in the Lake District with her unnamed partner. She has not told her parents about the pregnancy, saying 'they don't really know how to contact me'. She admitted there is 'a lot to forgive' and reconciliation seems distant.
Sammy, who played Katie Sugden on Emmerdale, has not publicly commented on the feud. The family rift highlights the tensions that can arise when children pursue careers their parents disapprove of.
