Stacey Solomon was left 'so excited' on Monday after receiving an unexpected gift from David Beckham, accompanied by a handwritten note. The 35-year-old Loose Women star had previously sent the former footballer a 'cringe' Instagram voice note asking for beekeeping advice, fearing he would ignore it.
However, Beckham responded with a parcel containing honey and snacks, along with a card reading: 'To Stacey and Joe, I hope you enjoy the honey and snacks. Lots of love, David Beckham.' An overjoyed Solomon told her followers: 'I've got David Beckham's autograph! What a time to be alive!'
Solomon had reached out after deciding to start her own beehive at home, Pickle Cottage. In the voice note, she said: 'I'm getting a beehive and I know you and Victoria have got bees... I just wondered if you had any top tips or advice.' She later admitted feeling like a 'weirdo' for sending the message.
Her husband Joe Swash joked about the situation, saying: 'Damn right he didn't reply, he better not either. Hands off mate. I don't need David Beckham as competition!' Beckham manages bees at his £12 million Cotswolds estate and has launched a honey-based children's snack brand called BEEUP.
Solomon recently returned to the BBC with a fly-on-the-wall series, Stacey & Joe, following life at Pickle Cottage with their five children.
