Tess Daly has been seen wearing her wedding ring in new promotional photographs for her luxury swimwear range with Naia Beach, despite announcing her separation from husband Vernon Kay last month. The 57-year-old former Strictly Come Dancing presenter shared a series of images on her personal Instagram account, where she appeared relaxed and in her element.
Vernon Kay Likes the Post
The photographs caught the attention of her estranged husband, 52, who 'liked' the collection of bikini pictures. Tess and Vernon have remained on good terms throughout their separation, and were recently spotted enjoying themselves together at the food and music festival Pub In The Park, where they danced to acts including Craig David. The former couple were accompanied by mutual friends, among them Two Pints of Lager star Will Mellor. At the Buckinghamshire event, Vernon was also observed still wearing his ring.
Joint Statement on Separation
In a joint statement published on Instagram, the pair, who had been married for 22 years, said: "After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably. This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us. We remain great friends and more importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority. There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this transition together. We will not be making any further public comments. Tess and Vernon."
Plans for a Quickie Divorce
It comes as it was reported the couple are planning a 'quickie divorce' and are said to be intending to use online solicitors to keep proceedings civil and legal costs to a minimum. A source told the Mirror: "Tess doesn't want to spend thousands on solicitors for a divorce. A friend suggested they look at getting a quickie divorce online. They don't see there's anything to fight over and know they'll agree on everything fairly." The pair married in 2003 and are parents to two daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16.
