Canadian superstar The Weeknd will bring his record-breaking After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour to Manchester's Etihad Stadium for two nights this week, on Thursday, June 11, and Friday, June 12. The shows mark the first time the singer has performed in Manchester in three years, and the first major music concerts at the stadium since 2023.
Tour Background
Originally launched in 2022, the tour celebrates The Weeknd's acclaimed album trilogy: After Hours (2020), Dawn FM (2022), and Hurry Up Tomorrow (2025). The artist, real name Abel Tesfaye, rose to fame with his 2011 debut mixtape House of Balloons and has since released six studio albums, earning global hits like Blinding Lights, Starboy, and Save Your Tears. He has collaborated with Madonna, Daft Punk, Ariana Grande, and Drake.
The Etihad shows follow the completion of a £300 million redevelopment of the North Stand, paving the way for large-scale outdoor events.
Support Acts
The Weeknd will be supported by 'hybrid humanoid' Prince 85 and American rapper Playboi Carti. Carti broke through with Broke Boi in 2015 and has released three studio albums, including 2025's Music, which topped charts in the US and UK.
