Tina O'Brien, best known for her role on Coronation Street, has given fans a glimpse of the unicorn-themed birthday party she organised for her daughter Scarlett's 10th birthday. The actress, 35, shared videos on her Instagram stories on Friday morning showing her living room decorated with rainbow-coloured bunting, 'Happy 10th Birthday' banners, balloons and numerous presents.
The centrepiece of the display was a large pink unicorn-shaped balloon, nestled among the gifts. Tina captured the moment she revealed a rainbow-design cake to her daughter, who expressed delight alongside her younger brother. The mother-of-two also showed the aftermath of the festivities, with confetti and wrapping paper covering the floor.
Tina raises Scarlett amicably with her ex-partner Ryan Thomas, with whom she had a six-year relationship that ended in 2009. The birthday party comes after Tina was offered a new contract by Coronation Street bosses, who were impressed with her handling of hard-hitting storylines over the past year.
Her on-screen daughter, Lucy Fallon, 22, who plays Bethany Platt, has also been offered a new contract after receiving awards for her portrayal of a sexual abuse victim. A source told MailOnline that both actresses have been well-received and that executives wanted to secure their contracts early to prevent departures.
