Love Island bosses have announced that pop star Bebe Rexha will make a surprise appearance in the villa during tonight's episode, following a brutal double dumping that will see two contestants eliminated. The update was released by ITV on Sunday afternoon (June 21), just hours before the show is set to air at 9pm on ITV2.
Double Dumping to Precede Celebrity Visit
The villa will first be rocked by a tense decision-making process. Islanders receive an alert reading: "Before the party gets started, you've got a big decision to make. In your couples, you must now decide which couple you think is the least compatible and therefore doesn't deserve a place in the villa." The couples must vote, and a deadlock has been reported, with two couples receiving an identical number of votes, forcing the group to reach a consensus.
According to OK! magazine, Jasmine Muller and Kavan Murphy stated that "two or three couples could be in this category," while Tommy Murphy and Halle Brown said their pick was because "the pairing isn't what either of them want." Lorenzo Alessi and Yasmin Hadlow explained their decision by saying: "Observing their actions in the villa over the last few days, we can see a change in someone." Ellie Chadwick and Finley based their selection "off the level of affection that this couple has given each other." Samraj Toor and Priya Jaswal delivered a blunt verdict, with Samraj declaring: "Comments I've heard from within this couple, through other couples, speaks volumes. Every action has a consequence in here."
Bebe Rexha to Perform for Islanders
Following the dumping, pop star Bebe Rexha will enter the villa to entertain the remaining Islanders. The Grammy-nominated singer, known for hits like "Me, Myself & I" and "I'm a Mess," is set to perform and meet the contestants. This marks a major celebrity crossover for the series, which has previously featured appearances from artists like Rita Ora and Craig David.
Fallout from Friday's Episode
The announcement comes after an explosive episode on Friday night (June 19), which featured rows, a double dumping, and a budding romance between former flames Mica Harris and Samraj Toor. The episode ended with the pair having a heart-to-heart on the terrace, discussing whether they might be more than friends. This caught the attention of Samraj's current partner, Priya Jaswal, who was left wondering about their intentions. The aftermath of that conversation is expected to be shown in tonight's episode.
Love Island airs Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
