Royal Lancaster London ranks 4th in TripAdvisor's 2026 top hotels list

TripAdvisor has unveiled its "World's Top 10 Hotels of 2026" list, featuring one London hotel among the elite. The Royal Lancaster London secured the fourth spot, making it the only entry from the capital.

The Travellers' Choice Awards Best of the Best list honors the "highest level of excellence in travel," based on the quality and quantity of TripAdvisor reviews and ratings during 2025. The Royal Lancaster London earned its place for its fantastic location, incredible views, and well-maintained accommodation. According to the list, "The luxurious rooms are inviting, bright and well-equipped with amenities. You'll be impressed by the professional staff who provide exceptional service, including a helpful concierge. The dining options are top-notch with excellent food, and the prompt room service is a nice touch."

The Royal Lancaster is the largest independent hotel in London and boasts an average TripAdvisor rating of 4.9 from more than 3,000 reviews over the past 12 months. Its inclusion in the top ten underscores its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.

Global Leaders

GH Universal, a five-star hotel in Bandung, Indonesia, was named the number one resort in the world, cited for its majestic design and extravagant amenities, including a courtyard swimming pool and a luxury pet hotel. Second spot went to Hotel Colline de France in Gramado, Brazil, which offers a "sensational design" and an exemplary wellness centre. Hotel Sporting Family Hospitality in Livigno, Italy, with scenic mountain views and family-friendly activities, came in third.

Other London Honorees

Outside the top ten, several other London hotels achieved "Best of the Best" status. Hotel 41, near Buckingham Palace, is the capital's second-rated hotel, followed by Brown's Hotel in Mayfair at number three.
