Portuguese Chorizo & Onion: 5/10
The Walkers Max Portuguese crisps, described as having a chorizo and onion flavour with a deep-ridged texture, were the least favourite. The initial taste was bland, lacking the expected smoky, spicy kick. One Tesco customer commented: "I couldn't taste any of the flavour... these crisps overpromised and underdelivered." However, a friend noted that "the more you eat, the nicer they get." Prices for the Portuguese crisps are £2.50 per bag.
English Bangers & Mash: 6/10
The English flavour, designed to evoke bangers and mash, was described as decent but unremarkable. A Tesco reviewer noted: "I love strong flavoured crisps, but I found the taste horrible... like sweaty socks." Another praised: "Really cheesy flavour! The crisps deliver a potent aroma and taste that closely replicates a beef taco, with meaty flavours and taco seasoning, though not overly spicy.
