Nicole Kidman Reveals She Didn't Want to Orgasm Anymore After Filming Babygirl
Nicole Kidman: 'I Didn't Want to Orgasm Anymore' After Babygirl

Nicole Kidman once shared she could not handle another orgasm after shooting a raunchy flick. It comes as the Australian acting legend celebrates her 59th birthday today (June 19).

A Challenging Role

Nicole has starred in some of the biggest Hollywood films, including the Stepford Wives, The Golden Compass and Moulin Rouge. But back in 2024, she was forced to halt filming on her steamy new picture, Babygirl.

The film, which premiered at the end of the year, features the Australian star playing a powerful married corporate executive. As the movie goes on, she has a raunchy affair with a provocative young intern − The Iron Claw's Harris Dickinson.

Overwhelming Intimacy

The duo share extremely passionate sequences in the movie, which also features Antonio Banderas as Nicole's spouse, Jacob, according to the Mirror. But discussing the impact the X-rated scenes had on her, the Eyes Wide Shut actress revealed at one stage they became overwhelming.

"There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. It's like: 'Don't touch me,'" she said.

She added: "There were times when we were shooting where I was like, 'I don't want to orgasm any more'. Speaking to The Sun about her response to her co-stars, she continued: "Don't come near me. I hate doing this, I don't care if I am never touched again in my life! I'm over it."

Plot and Inspiration

Babygirl follows ruthless CEO Romy (Kidman) who jeopardises her career and life's achievements when she embarks on a passionate affair with her young intern Samuel (Dickinson). Director Halina Reijn drew inspiration from Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas' erotic thriller Basic Instinct.

Rejin also admitted as well as learning about a woman who had never experienced sexual satisfaction during her 25-year marriage when she started the project. After the film was released, fans were divided on what they thought of the film.

Audience Reactions

One fan tweeted of the film: "Babygirl is helmed by great performances from Kidman, Dickinson and especially Banderas, with a beautiful score and cinematography. Unfortunately, the storyline moves at a slow pace which is not helped by an overly repetitive plot. It also wasn't as sexy as I was hoping."

A second slammed accusations the film would be "perverted", adding: "I'm sorry but Babygirl is about as perverted as pink fuzzy handcuffs." While a third penned: "Nothing about Babygirl is perverted btw."

Ultimately, Babygirl would be a smash with critics, but fail to impress audiences. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film still has a lowly score of 46% from the audience.
