A new West End blockbuster celebrating the life and music of Frank Sinatra has officially opened at London's Aldwych Theatre. The production, titled Sinatra: The Musical, puts Ol' Blue Eyes in the spotlight and features his timeless hits, including One for My Baby and Come Fly With Me.

A Stellar Cast Brings Sinatra's Story to Life

Joel Harper-Jackson takes on the iconic role of Frank Sinatra, leading a talented ensemble. Phoebe Panaretos portrays Nancy Barbato, Sinatra's first wife whom he married in 1939. The show traces Sinatra's meteoric rise following a landmark New Year's Eve performance at New York's Paramount Theatre in 1942.

Supporting characters include Hollywood legends: Adam Davidson plays Gene Kelly, Becky Anderson appears as Lana Turner, Ana Villafañe embodies Ava Gardner, Melissa Nettleford stars as Billie Holiday, and Allana Taylor portrays Marlene Dietrich. Sam Brown takes on the role of bandleader Tommy Dorsey.

Creative Team Behind the Musical

The production is directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, with a book by Joe DiPietro. The show originally debuted at Birmingham Rep in 2023 before transferring to the West End. The creative team also includes set designer Peter McKintosh, costume designer Jon Morrell, and lighting designer Bruno Poet.

Lee Zarrett plays publicist George Evans, and Jenna Russell portrays Dolly Sinatra, Frank's mother. The production features a series of stunning photographs by Tristram Kenton, capturing the energy and glamour of the show.

Sinatra: The Musical is now playing at the Aldwych Theatre, London, until 10 April 2027. With its blend of classic songs and dramatic storytelling, it promises to be a must-see for fans of the legendary singer and musical theatre enthusiasts alike.
