Nicole Kidman has hit back at questions about her husband Keith Urban's past struggles with alcoholism during a recent interview on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour. The Australian actress, 49, became visibly uncomfortable when host Jenni Murray pressed her on how she coped with Urban's addiction.
'God, you guys are personal,' Kidman said, before adding that it was Urban's story to tell. She did, however, elaborate: 'He's always said that I can talk about it publicly because he's very much about helping people. I think our marriage is an example of working our way through it with an outcome where you can be together where he's sober and very happy.'
Kidman also revealed her desire to become a foster mother, having already experienced motherhood through adoption, birth, and surrogacy. She said she is 'very interested' in fostering, noting she previously fostered an Aboriginal boy she met through school.
When asked about her strained relationship with adopted children Connor and Isabella from her marriage to Tom Cruise, Kidman refused to discuss details. 'I don't discuss any of my children in terms of their privacy,' she said. 'All I say is that there's unconditional love.'
