Ulrika Jonsson has unveiled a refreshed appearance after confessing she had 'largely given up on my face' following years of sun exposure. The 58-year-old television personality shared a series of glowing selfies on Instagram on Monday, showcasing the results of her latest beauty treatments.
In her social media post, Jonsson explained that her decision to invest in skincare was not about reversing ageing but about forging a new relationship with her skin. 'Up until last year, I had largely given up on my face. I had learnt to accept the consequences of years of sun exposure because I didn't realise there was anything I could do about it,' she wrote.
The presenter revealed she had been attending a clinic for a series of treatments aimed at improving her skin's quality. 'For me, it was not about turning back the clock but it was the start of a relationship which had its basis in reassurance and realistic expectations,' she added. Jonsson emphasised that she is content with her laughter lines and wrinkles, describing them as 'the marks of a life lived'.
Jonsson also disclosed that she recently underwent a procedure to remove varicose veins, marking the third time she has had such treatment. She described the experience as 'painful, uncomfortable and not the sexiest thing in the world', but confirmed it was successful. The star noted that modern techniques include 'microwaving' and 'foaming' the veins, and she is now recuperating at home for eight days.
