Return to Paradise Season Three Filming Wraps, Anna Samson Teases Bigger Story

Filming on the third series of the Death in Paradise spin-off Return to Paradise has officially wrapped, star Anna Samson has confirmed. The actress, who plays DS Mackenzie Clarke, shared the news on Instagram with behind-the-scenes photos of herself and co-stars.

Samson captioned the post: 'Shooting on Return to Paradise season 3 wrapped last week! This season's story is bigger and braver, and asks more of its characters than ever.' She added: 'A huge congratulations to the entire team... We can't wait to share it with you...sometime down the line.'

The BBC previously revealed that the third season will see Mackenzie grappling with the fallout from the season two finale. The synopsis states: 'DS Mackenzie Clarke is back, fresh from having wrecked another of Glenn's weddings and determined never to follow her heart again. But ignoring her heart won't be easy.'

The arrival of her mother Jillian (Kerry Armstrong) and new pathologist Leo (Jacob Collins-Levy) will test her, while Glenn (Tai Hara) has gone away to 'find himself'. Fans have praised the series, with one IMDB reviewer calling it 'better than Death in Paradise'.
