Corrie Fans Theorise Sam's Mental Health Crisis After Will Drama

Coronation Street is set to air dramatic scenes next week as Sam Blakeman's mental health reaches a crisis point. After the unmasking of predatory teacher Megan Walsh and her inappropriate relationship with teenage pupil Will Driscoll, Sam had grown suspicious and was subsequently targeted by Megan and Will to keep their secret hidden.

Following the fallout, Sam has been battling paranoia and anxiety, which will deteriorate into psychosis. He begins seeing two versions of Roy Cropper, one of whom encourages him to take matters into his own hands and get rid of Will. When Sam protests he is not violent, the hallucinated Roy calls him a coward.

Meanwhile, Megan sets her sights on Will again after he reported her to the police. Will confides in Hope Stape that he is considering quitting athletics due to memories of Megan. Later, Will receives a message from a former running mate, but when he waits, Megan appears instead, revealing she set him up.

Sam, still hallucinating, goes to the Rovers and finds Will alone. Hearing Roy caution that Will intends to kill him, Sam bolts and locks himself in the cafe. Will follows, and real Roy discovers Sam in a dreadful state, confused by seeing two versions of Roy.

Carla Connor steps in when she sees Sam at the precinct, attempting to calm him. After phoning Nick, Carla reveals she believes Sam is experiencing psychosis. As Nick and David Platt arrive, Sam flees, leaving viewers wondering what will happen next.
