Coronation Street Stars Battle 'Beast from the East' While Filming Boxing Scenes

Coronation Street actors Tina O'Brien and Samia Longchambon braved freezing conditions as they filmed scenes for a charity boxing storyline at Salford Lads' Club in Manchester on Tuesday. The 'Beast from the East' weather front brought snow, but the stars were seen in padded coats between takes.

Tina O'Brien, who plays Sarah Platt, wore jeans and trainers with her warm coat, while Samia Longchambon, as Maria Connor, sported boxing gear under her coat. They were joined by co-stars Jack P. Shepherd (David Platt), Julia Goulding (Shona Ramsey), and Sair Khan (Alya Nazir), who posed for photos outside the club.

The storyline involves Maria and Shona at odds, with Shona suspecting Maria has feelings for David. They decide to settle their rivalry in the ring as part of an exhibition match in honour of Luke Britton, who was murdered by Pat Phelan. Mysterious newcomer Josh suggested the match as a goodwill gesture after taking over Luke's job at the garage.
