Emma Corrin Spotted as Elizabeth Bennet on Netflix's Pride and Prejudice Set

Emma Corrin has been photographed for the first time in character as Elizabeth Bennet on the set of Netflix's upcoming adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The 29-year-old actor, best known for playing a young Princess Diana in The Crown, was seen in period costume and a curly wig, cuddling their dog Spencer between takes.

The images show Corrin embracing the sharp wit and independent spirit of the character, as well as enjoying light-hearted moments with co-star Freya Mavor, who plays Jane Bennet. The pair were spotted laughing and eating a banana on a rooftop, and Corrin was also seen gingerly descending scaffolding.

The hotly anticipated six-part series, written by Dolly Alderton, also stars Jack Lowden as Mr Darcy and Olivia Colman as Mrs Bennet. Rufus Sewell and Fiona Shaw round out the cast as Mr Bennet and Lady Catherine de Bourgh, respectively. Lowden has confirmed he will not replicate Colin Firth's iconic lake scene from the 1995 adaptation.
