Fans of Jilly Cooper’s beloved Disney+ series Rivals just received an update about when the new episodes will be released. Season two, part one only recently concluded, but there is good news for eager viewers.
Rivals Season 2 Episode 7 Release Date
Disney+ has confirmed that Rivals season two, episode seven will premiere in November when part two makes its long-awaited return. However, a firm premiere date has not yet been announced, and fans can expect one closer to the release window.
The second season of the drama, adapted from Jilly Cooper’s novel, has been split into two halves. The first part, consisting of six episodes, landed on May 16. Audiences have watched these episodes, with part one ending on a cliffhanger after it appeared that one resident of Rutshire perished during a raging storm that struck the idyllic Cotswolds village.
The entire season comprises 12 episodes in total. Fans are eagerly awaiting part two, which will deliver six more drama-filled episodes.
What to Expect in Rivals Season 2 Part 2
A short teaser from the streaming platform reads: “Following a shocking turn of events in the sixth episode, the residents of Rutshire are rocked by tragedy, scandal and betrayal as the battle between Venturer and Corinium reaches breaking point.”
Disney+ also dropped a short teaser for the second batch of episodes, which sees Tony Baddingham (played by David Tennant) and Declan O'Hara (Aidan Turner) continue their contest for the Cotswolds crown, reaching new heights. Meanwhile, Rupert Campbell-Black (Alex Hassell) is forced to confront his own personal demons.
Fans can expect hedonistic parties, Bonfire Night chaos, and the Hampshire Hunt Ball. There will also be a turbulent Christmas as affairs unravel, alliances fracture, and rivalries intensify. Amid all the drama over the franchise war, Taggie O'Hara (Bella Maclean) must decide whether to follow her heart, while others face the consequences of their ambition, power, and secrets that they can no longer hide.
New Characters in Rivals Season 2 Part 2
Season two, part two will also introduce some new characters. Rachael Stirling (known for Believe Me and Detectorists) will play Araminta Pemberton, the younger sister of Lady Monica Baddingham (Claire Rushbrook). Rupert Evans (from Bridgerton and The Man in the High Castle) will portray headmaster David Hawkley. Finally, Santiago Cabrera (from Big Little Lies) plays Argentinian Polo legend Alejandro Mendoza.
