Fans of ITV's hit quiz show The Chase have expressed outrage over a recent episode, criticising contestants for their slow responses and repeated low offers. The episode, aired on Tuesday afternoon (February 25), featured host Bradley Walsh and Chaser Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha.
During the final chase, contestants Ash and Max struggled to answer questions quickly, managing only nine correct answers between them. Viewers took to X to vent their frustration, with one describing the performance as 'absolutely shocking' and another noting, 'Asks question, five-second pause, buzz in, pass.'
The trend of contestants opting for low offers also drew criticism. In this episode, Max chose the lower offer of £1,000, while some viewers felt Kelsey should have taken the £100 offer instead of the £1,000 she earned. One viewer wrote, 'What a disgrace and embarrassment for ITV! How long is this going to go on for? I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!'
The episode's slow pace and strategic choices have left many fans disappointed, with one viewer commenting, 'Emergency Services on alert after a massive car crash Final Chase.' Another added, 'Oh goodness, fingers crossed for tomorrow.'
