The Cleaning Lady has concluded its four-season run on Fox, but the drama is now finding a new audience on Netflix. The series follows Thony De La Rosa, a Cambodian-Filipino surgeon who becomes entangled in the Las Vegas criminal underworld to save her son's life.
In the final season, Thony is framed for murder by Jorge and sent to prison. Jorge later discovers that District Attorney Thornfield is the mole working for Sam Heller. Jorge drugs and drowns Thornfield, staging it as a suicide. Joel becomes the new DA and files for Thony's release.
While recovering in the prison infirmary, a riot erupts and a tractor breaches the prison wall. Thony knocks out a nurse and escapes. Meanwhile, Ramona plans to flee with Thony's son Luca to Mexico. Thony meets Ramona, but Fiona knocks Ramona unconscious with a shovel. Thony chooses to bury Ramona alive rather than kill her outright.
Thony reunites with Luca, but Jorge has lost control of the cartel to Feng. Jorge gives Thony a notebook with evidence against Heller and leaves on a jet, promising to reunite one day. Thony declines to join him, hoping to strike a deal with Feng.
