Alison Hammond has left her This Morning co-stars stunned after revealing she would marry her toyboy boyfriend 'tomorrow'. The 50-year-old presenter, who celebrates her birthday today, made the candid admission during an appearance on her Smart TV podcast with Richard E Grant.
Speaking about her relationship with David Putman, a former masseur 23 years her junior, Hammond said: 'Oh do you know what? This is going to make headlines but, yeah, I would marry him tomorrow.' The couple have been dating since December 2023.
Addressing the age gap, Hammond told Good Housekeeping magazine: 'Yes, I'm 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you'd understand. People have said to me: We get it now.' The admission comes after speculation about an engagement was sparked when she was spotted wearing a ring on her wedding finger live on air.
Hammond quickly dismissed the rumours, swapping the ring to her other hand and joking: 'Oh I have put this on the wrong finger... Let me swap it over to stop these rumours.' The presenter first rose to fame on Big Brother in 2002 and has since become a staple on ITV's This Morning and The Great British Bake Off.
