Coronation Street Couple Carla and Lisa to Split Months After Wedding
Coronation Street Couple Carla and Lisa to Split After Wedding

Coronation Street favourites Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) are reportedly heading for a heartbreaking split just months after tying the knot, according to fan speculation. The couple, who first got together in 2024, have faced numerous challenges including Carla's ill health, the return of her murderer brother Rob Donovan (Marc Bayliss), and the reappearance of Lisa's supposedly dead wife Becky Swain (Amy Cudden).

Wedding and Aftermath

After Becky was sentenced to 12 years in prison and cut off by Lisa and daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin), Carla and Lisa rekindled their romance. They married in April, becoming the first two women to successfully wed in Coronation Street's 65-year history. However, their wedding day ended with Betsy discovering the dead body of Theo Silverton (James Cartwright).

Betsy's Bombshell

Recently, Betsy revealed she had been offered a place at a fashion college in London. While Carla was delighted, Lisa was more apprehensive about the prospect. Fans now fear this could lead to the couple's split.

"Will Lisa suffer with empty nest syndrome? If so, will her relationship with Carla suffer too?" mused one fan on a Coronation Street Facebook page. Another added: "I thought this." A third chimed in: "I wondered if this will lead up to them splitting as well."

Coronation Street airs Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
