Coronation Street: Megan Walsh Affair Rumoured with Jodie Ramsey
Corrie Fans Predict Megan Walsh Affair with Jodie Ramsey

Fans of Coronation Street are convinced they have uncovered a shocking new affair storyline involving Megan Walsh. The predatory teacher, played by Beth Nixon, was arrested last month after grooming teenager Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale). The pair had a secret relationship that began in Hull, continued in Weatherfield, and resulted in Megan's pregnancy and subsequent abortion. Sam Blakeman exposed the truth, leading to Megan's arrest, though she has since been released on bail and laying low.

Unexpected Romance Theory

Now, viewers believe Megan may return to the spotlight through an unlikely romance with fellow villain Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances Brown). Jodie, the younger sister of Shona Platt, has caused chaos on the street: she tricked David Platt into bed by impersonating Shona, attacked Sarah Platt on the night of Theo Silverton's murder, and waged an online hate campaign against Daniel Osbourne while posing as his confidante.

On Reddit, one fan wrote: "What if Megan and Jodie became a lesbian couple? They are made for each other." Another added: "It would be a total car crash and I honestly kind of want to see it." A third commented: "Too much drama. They'd end up killing each other." Another viewer noted: "I'm awful surprised we haven't had a Megan and Jodie scene yet. Both deluded, both causing children to be bullied, they would be made for each other."

Upcoming Trap for Will

In scenes set to air next week, Will walks into a trap set by Megan. She poses as an old running friend from Hull and lures him to the Freshco car park. When Will arrives expecting to meet his friend Lee, Megan appears instead. A Corrie insider told Inside Soap: "How horrifying for Will – he's under the impression that he's going to have a catch-up with one of his friends from Hull, then Megan suddenly appears behind him. Will is well aware of how dangerous Megan is, so it's not difficult to imagine how frightened he must feel. The question is, what on earth does Megan have to say to him? Keep your fingers crossed that Will shuts down whatever poison she is bound to come out with..."

Coronation Street airs weekday nights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
