Snow Patrol closed out the On The Waterfront festival in Liverpool on June 21, drawing a large crowd to the Pier Head. The alternative rock band, formed in 1994, performed anthems including 'Chasing Cars,' 'Run,' and 'Open Your Eyes.'
Festival Lineup and Performances
The four-day event featured notable acts earlier in the week. Mod legend Paul Weller opened on Thursday, June 18, playing solo hits as well as songs from The Jam and Style Council. Merseyside band Red Rum Club headlined on Friday, supported by Only The Poets, The Lilacs, Keyside, The Kairos, and The Kowloons. On June 20, Cream Classical celebrated its 10th anniversary with a performance of dance music anthems.
Atmosphere and Crowd
The Liverpool Echo captured fans arriving in stylish outfits, with cowboy boots notably popular. The waterfront buzzed with excitement as the festival concluded on a warm evening. Streets leading to the venue were busy with attendees.
Snow Patrol, originally from Northern Ireland but formed in Dundee, delivered a headline set that capped off the festival.
